about

What can I say.....I LOVE great design, finding inspiration everywhere, imagining the possibilities, and coming up with creative ways to make the ordinary exceptional.

A little about me.....
I'm more likely to read a book after I've seen its movie preview, my cats dictate my sleep schedule, I try to convince myself that I like to ski, drink decaf coffee and sadly enough cleaning my house relaxes me.  I'm 32 and still like to color, am addicted to hand lotion and lip balm and LOVE getting things on sale.  I religiously look at the Target ad every Sunday and wish that I had more patience to use a sewing machine & w/o a doubt I have the best husband in the world.

How it all began.....
My husband (a handyman extraordinaire) and I (a self-proclaimed bargain hunter) started on our renovation adventure in 2007 with the purchase of a circa 1900 (shoe machine factory) loft style condo. Since its conversion from abandoned factory to condos in the 1980's, very few updates had been made.  We purchased the 960 square foot, single level condo with all its 1980's "charm".....almond colored appliances, beige carpeting, gold door knobs, red walls and all.....and quickly began ripping things apart. We had a vision and knew we could make it into something awesome!

It's not just about paint.....
"We could paint it" is our little joke.  It's our trademark comment when something catches our eye. Usually, we have already started to repaint, rebuild or alter in some way shape or form in our minds before we even bring it home. I will have to admit that my creativity and willingness to alter things didn't not come as easy to me as it did my husband.  Over the years I have abandoned the idea of finding exactly what we want when we go shopping.  We love searching for the not so perfect something and coming up with ideas to make it our own.
